A Toast to Terry Fox by Jimmy Smith
In his memory here we stand. In honor of this brave young man. His life he gave to help mankind. A cure, a gift, so short in time.
First lonely miles he showed no fear. Inspire he did, it cost him dear. The crowds would gather as he'd go. From people gifts would start to flow.
In his shadow we all live. He taught us all the gift to give. His dream to run from coast to coast. That son of Canada, we will toast.

I cannot believe we are replacing the Blue Bridge. Having read all the pros and cons it is not to anyones advantage and will be an outrageous cost. Similar to the olympics eh?

I have been shooting panoramas around Victoria downtown during the last 5 years and something I noticed is that the blue bridge is almost everywhere. I think that any solution to replace or fix the bridge should include this strong presence the blue bridge has in the city. Hopefully it will remain at least "blue".
